CRUELTY IN PSYCHOANALYSIS AND THE THOUGHT OF THE UNCONDITIONAL IN JACQUES DERRIDA

The present article seeks to analyze the implications of the thought of cruelty in Artaud and Freud for psychoanalysis. To do so, it resorts to the philosopher Jacques Derrida, who thought about them, above all, in the field of ethics and psychoanalytic practice. Cruelty also imposes a revision of the concept of subject - on which we will dwell, which had already been set in motion by Derrida since 1967, in "Freud and the Scene of Writing". Next, we will approach the concept of unconditionality formulated by Derrida, as a new horizon for the understanding of the subject and for the ethical-political and social practice of psychoanalysis.
