Establishing international sanctioning regimes is an important tool for maintaining peace and international security. Our approach for assessing the degree of corruption in a country while determining the correlations with coercive diplomacy and economic sanctions starts from analyzing the general economic factors affecting the level of corruption and its results. This study provides an analysis of the impact of coercive instruments of foreign policy (in the form of economic sanctions) on the level of corruption in the target countries. The results offer a support for the fact that sanctions cause more extensive damages to the economic environment and the public perception, more. important than the limited sanctions.
