摘要：
The full-length paper describes extended-reach drilling (ERD) from a North Sea production platform into an adjacent field that had been developed previously with subsea facilities. The resulting well had a 25,852-ft total depth (TD), 13,810-ft true vertical depth (TVD), and 20,150-ft lateral displacement. The paper presents the critical design considerations, details of the operation, a summary of lessons learned, and the resulting best practices.
