Suppose q (y) is a spherically symmetric potential which is zero outside B, the ball of radius R in R-3. Suppose [GRAPHICS] We show how q(y) may be reconstructed from the values of V(y, t) on partial derivative B x [R, 3R] by reducing it to a problem of inversion from transmission data for a one-dimensional wave equation.
