Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in CoxPt1-x alloy films

摘要
Structural (X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy) and magnetic (Kerr effect and SQUID magnetometry) properties of (111) or (001) epitaxial films (x similar to 0.25, 0,75) grown onto a Ru(001) buffer at various temperatures have been studied. Large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is observed for both compositions, which is strongly dependent on growth temperature and structural state.
