摘要
In the present study, 3BaO-3TiO(2)-B2O3 (BTBO) glass-added 0.94Bi(0.5)Na(0.5)TiO(3)-0.06BaTiO(3) (BNT-BT) ferroelectric ceramics were synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction methodology. The electrocaloric effect on glass-added ceramics was calculated using Maxwell relations. The maximum adiabatic temperature changes of 0.21, 0.25, and 0.14 K were obtained at 40 kV/cm for 2, 4, and 6% glass addition which are significantly higher than those of the pure sample (0.08 K) under study. The results reveal that glass addition up to 4% resulted in enhanced electrocaloric response. Further, the effect of glass addition on the dielectric properties was investigated. The dielectric constant decreases with glass addition compared with pure BNT-BT at 303 K.
