Preparation and properties of electrospun collagen-chitosan nanofibers

摘要
The collagen-chitosan nanofibers have been prepared by electrospinning from a mixed HFP/TFA(the volume ratio of 90/10) solution. The intermolecular interactions in collagen-chitosan nanofibers were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). XRD patterns show that the collagen-chitosan nanofibers have become amorphous phases after electrospinning. Mechanical characterization indicates that the ratio of collagen to chitosan will affect the mechanical properties of electrospun collagen-chitosan fibers. Both the ultimate tensile elongation and the ultimate tensile strength of fibrous. membrane decrease with the increase of chitosan content. All these would be useful to a biomaterial design by electrospinning method.
