摘要：

Facial feature extraction has played a crucial role in 3-D model-based video coding and recently attracted enormous attention. Although an avalanche of papers has been published, facial feature extraction is still one of the most challenging topics, and demands more robust solutions for major breakthrough. This paper is aimed at the presentation of an unsupervised facial feature extraction algorithm. Compared with other existing methods, the algorithm has advantages of being more generic, easier and faster for implementation.
