摘要
Lithuanian fruits and vegetables sector is dominated by small growers that individually are unable to withstand the market pressure. Cooperation in this sector is poorly developed and active cooperatives are unable to significantly influence market. At the moment there's no producer organization in Lithuania or preliminary recognized producer group although this would present new opportunities for producers in cooperation expansion. In this work models of producer organizations that could be created by cooperated growers have been discussed. It is recommended to establish one vegetable and one or several fruit producer organizations on the basis of agricultural cooperatives that are active at the moment in Lithuania.
