摘要
A very simple method for the design of computationally efficient finite impulse response (FIR) lowpass filter is presented here. The proposed method leads to a significant savings in the number of multipliers. It involves the approximation of an equiripple FIR transfer function by a rounding of the filter coefficients followed by an application of the sharpening technique.
