Towards an integrated model for supporting collaborative telelearning

This paper deals with the design of a cooperative learning support environment embedded in a computer mediated communication and tutoring system in distance education context. It describes a cooperative learning support model based on a cooperation between intelligent agents in a distributed system. This model is founded on an explanation of the leader's task which may be assigned to a facilitating agent and the context in which this leadership occurs. Its originality arises from that it is oriented not into the assistance provided to students, but rather into the assistance offered to any resource which has to facilitate both team and distant learning in a computer-supported tutoring environment.
