Research and Practice of a New Mode of College English Teaching Based on the Teaching of Experimental Classes

According to College English Curriculum Requirements, the teaching goal of college English is to cultivate non-English majors' comprehensive abilities of using English. In order to reach it, college English teaching model, method and means should be changed. In the present study, a new teaching model of college English is proposed to cultivated non-English majors' comprehensive abilities of using English, especially their abilities of listening, speaking and writing through the college English teaching in the experimental classes, aiming at making the research and practice of college English in the teaching goal, model, contents, class teaching, methods, evaluations and management embrace the cultivation of non-English majors' comprehensive ability of using English, especially their abilities of listening, speaking and writing so that the breakthrough of the reform of college English in these aspects can be realized and the teaching quality and level of college English can be improved most.
