Graffiti are a growing problem affecting all the great industrial cities. Two types of method are developed to struggle this scourge: the mechanical or chemical cleaning methods and the protective coatings on which graffiti seems not to be able to catch on. Within this last solution, we can distinguish silicon and polyurethane coatings, and various fluorinated polymers such as acrylates, polyethers, perfluoroalkylalkoxisilanes and others. In addition to their specific disadvantages, all these coatings described in the literature present mainly common drawbacks such as high cost prices, difficulties for spreading, toxicity or relatively short life, which tend to limit the application field of the coating.
