Reliability modeling of star graph networks

摘要
Our purpose in the present paper is to develop several analytical models for the substar reliability problem associated with the star graph connected multiprocessors. The substar reliability problem involves the ability to embed disjoint functional (correct) substars of different sizes in presence of node failures. We provide models for node failures; we then compare the results with similar studies for hypercubes [1]. Our study show that star graphs are superior in retaining healthy substars in presence of failures as compared to hypercubes' retaining healthy subcubes.
