Update on new imaging techniques

The presentation will review the impact of hardware and software advances on CT and MR techniques utilized in the workup of patients with head and neck disease. The principles of helical CT will be reviewed with an emphasis on the impact on the quality and efficacy of head and neck assessment. Pending advances in CT technology will be considered as well. The impact of high performance gradient systems on the speed and quality of routine and contrast enhanced images of the head and neck will be covered. Advances in hardware and software have enabled new techniques for imaging diseases of the head and neck.
