摘要
this work performs the numerical analysis on the cooling effect of compressed air in Air Plasma Spraying (APS) process. Normally, the compressed air jet mounted on the terminal of robot arm moves along with the APS torch, which will affect the heat transfer to the substrate and, to some extent, influence the temperature evolution of coating area. Through the thermal source model of sprayed particles and thermal flux, a coupling between robot trajectory and thermal distribution is established, which helps systematically study the effect of compressed air on the temperature history during APS.
