摘要：
Conservation of the forest tree species genetic resources is realized by two methods: in situ, i.e. at their natural habitat and ex situ - outside it. The in situ gene conservation is performed by seed stands, reserves, national and nature parks, while ex situ conservation includes seed orchards, archive plantations, provenance trails and progeny tests, arboreta and botanical gardens. Of the greatest importance for utilization of forest genetic resources is the area managed for seed production - seed stands.
