摘要：
It's important for firms in emerging economies to develop dynamic capabilities to cope with the complex institutional environments. However, existing research pays little attention to the establishing mechanism of dynamic capabilities. This study examines how export and outward FDI help build dynamic capabilities in China's emerging economy. A survey of 179 firms indicates that export and outward FDI is positively related to opportunity-recognizing capability and opportunity-capitalizing capability, key elements of dynamic capabilities. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
