摘要
Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) is one of key techniques of Virtual Prototyping. And with the development of MDO, exploration of MDO framework becomes more and more important. This paper first lists some key requirements for Virtual Prototyping MDO Framework (VPMDOF), and then presents a new architecture of VPMDOF. The goal of the VPMDOF is to meet the needs of geographically dispersed engineering groups working concurrently on a virtual prototyping design project. A web-based architecture has been devised, which comprises three layers: the portal layer provides Graphical User Interface through Web pages; web service layer provides web server and database management system; virtual prototyping design and simulation layer provides optimization design and performance evaluation of virtual prototyping.
