The gravitational field of two counter-propagating beams of light

摘要
An exact solution describing the static or stationary gravitational field due to two counter-propagating cylindrically symmetric beams of light is given. The energy density of the incoherent radiation is positive and regular everywhere; the spacetime metric satisfies the regularity conditions at the axis of symmetry and can be smoothly matched to the Levi-Civita vacuum metric.
