On the Fuel and Energy Consumption Optimization Problem in Aircraft Path Planning

摘要
Optimal trajectories for aircraft in terms of fuel consumption and energy consumption are analyzed and proven to exist by means of necessary and sufficient conditions. In some cases solutions in closed analytical form are found. Environmental models account both for aerodynamic forces and moments acting on aircraft modeled as 6 DOF rigid bodies.
