Use of ELISA test kits for estimation of serum progesterone concentrations in cats

摘要：
The objectives of this investigation were to determine whether three ELISA test kits (EstruCHEK(R):Synbiotics Company, San Diego, CA; ICAGEN(TM)-Target:International Canine Genetics, Malvern, PA; and Status-Pro(TM): International Canine Genetics) available for use in the dog could be used to accurately estimate progesterone concentrations in the domestic cat, and to determine the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of each kit, using canine levels established by the manufacturers. Blood samples were obtained from 13 intact queens via jugular puncture.
