PREPARATION OF β-SIALON ANTI-OXIDATION CERAMIC COATING FOR C/C COMPOSITES AND INFRARED STEALTHY CHARACTERISTIC

摘要
In this paper, preparation and properties of beta-Sialon coating coated carbon/carbon (C/C) composites and the effect of different temperature on coating in 3-5 mu m and 8-12 mu m infrared emissivity were studied. The composition of the Sialon coatings were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) that showed the main phase was beta-Sialon with the fact Z value of 2.7. The beta-Sialon coating prepared on the surface of SiC layer strongly adhered to the substrate, and the adhesive forces between the coating and substrate was greater than 30 N. The prepared SiC layer and SiC-Sialon coating at 1500 degrees C in air for 15h with a mass loss was 1.5% and 0.6%, respectively. And the experimental results indicated that the infrared emissivity of beta-Sialon coating in the 3-5 mu m and 8-14 mu m wavebands decreased with increase temperature, decreased with increase of temperature.
