摘要
A method is presented for the design of the ships propulsive system for the life cycle of the ship at given sea state conditions-wind speed and waves height. The method accounts the increase of the hull and propeller roughness for the accepted years of the life cycle and their impact on the hull resistance, propeller thrust diminution and propeller torque augmentation. The aim is to find out the design thrust and power of the propeller as well as to choice the main engine which guarantees the kipping of the ship's service speed for its life cycle and given Beaufort number.
