The pharmacist on the frontline to help smokers quit. Even if smoking, a cardiovascular risk factor, is constantly decreasing in France, consumption rates remain high. Prevention and access to cessation must be strengthened, especially since the electronic cigarette is revolutionizing the management of tobacco addiction. The pharmacy has a number of assets, including proximity and accessibility, to participate in the fight against tobacco. Support programs for cessation can be developed there.
