摘要
WebGIS application is an important part of geological disasters specialized monitoring and early-warning project in Three Gorges reservoir area, however traditional WebGIS has some fatal defects such as slow web page response, bad user experience and so on. As a new web application framework, Rich Internet Application (RIA) can remedy these defects. This paper discussed Rich Internet GIS application for geological disasters specialized monitoring and early-warning in Three Gorges reservoir area (RIGIS-GDSMEW/TGR) which combined RIA and WebGIS. On the basis of analyzing WebGIS and RIA technologies, we put forward the concept of Rich Internet GIS Application, and designed the system architecture of RIGIS-GDSMEW/TGR with mature technical scheme according to functional requirements. And then, we introduce the system application, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the Rich Internet GIS application.
