摘要
In this work Interpolating Element-Free Galerkin Method (IEFGM) is presented as simple and accurate technique to investigate grounding problems. However, as IEFGM is a differential equation method, it is necessary to establish a boundary in order to limit the computational domain of the problem and where a specific boundary condition should be imposed. Thus, a new methodology, which reduces the computational domain for analysis of steady state ground problems, is proposed. To demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method, the problem of a vertical electrode introduced in a homogeneous soil is investigated. The results of IEFGM is compared with Method of Moments results.
