摘要
Playstation gaming hardware is currently being exploited for its use in medicine. The hardware can be modified in such a way that it can be used in diagnosis of diseases such as tumors, by taking their images. The device, that contains a Graphical Processing Unit (GPU), recently grabbed attention as a tool for surgeons improve their technique is using it to measure movement deficiencies in Parkinson's patients. Scientists predicts that it will soon be possible to use the GPU to determine more accurately which drug molecules will most strongly interact with a protein and how they will react, which could revolutionize pharmaceutical research.
