This article reproduces the text of the presentation given by the President of the International Court of Justice on 18 April 2016 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Court. The President of the Court provides a brief introductory account of the Court's activities over the last decade. After a review of the main trends in the Court's activities during that time, two issues are identified: its relationship with other international courts and tribunals and its contribution to the clarification of certain areas of the law.
