摘要
In order to prepare strong adhesive diamond coatings on hard alloy, it is proposed to use as an underlayer a coating obtaining by electric-spark alloying (ESA) with both diamond-free and diamond-containing chromium electrodes. The optimum alloying regime is found for the surface of hard alloy VK6 (WC-6% Co) with electrodes providing relatively low roughness, high continuity and thickness (4-7 mu m) of underlayers, sufficient for resolving this problem. Phase formation of the underlayer on the hard alloy surface is studied. Use of ESA technology provides significantly higher adhesion of a diamond coating to a tool.
