摘要
This paper presents a conceptual framework of project developing for the final year of mechatronics students. This is a concept of preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and experience in a design of mechatronics systems on the according basis with the requirements and realities of today's industry. The project developing of the students was began with the ideological of combining mechanical, electrical, electronics, and embedded programming merge into a single interdisciplinary field. After that, virtual prototyping, this stage is the integration of aided design, programming design, and simulation design to demonstration the functionality of the virtual prototype on a computer environment. Finally, the virtual project which was verified and optimized to be used a physical prototyping. The results of the assessment panel members found that students can develop the project successfully and achieve its objectives through the application of such framework.
