摘要
Repetitive, extensive engagement in some rewarding behaviors can result in distress or reduction in the psychosocial functional levels of those affected. Due to similarities with substance use disorders, certain excessive behaviors are considered behavioral addictions or disorders due to addictive behavior. The recently released 11th revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) includes a category "disorders due to addictive behaviors" that includes "gambling disorder and gaming disorder", which may involve both online and offline behavior. According to the literature, "buying-shopping disorder" is another excessive, rewarding behavior that has been regarded as a behavioral addiction. The present article provides information with respect to the phenomenology, assessment, prevalence, etiology and psychotherapy of behavioral addictions, focusing on gambling disorder, gaming disorder and buying-shopping disorder.
