摘要：
The title salt, (C4H12N2)(2)[Bi2Cl10]center dot 3H(2)O, was prepared by reaction of bismuth trichloride and piperazine in a hydrochloric acid medium. It consists of piperazinium dications and dimeric [Bi2Cl10](4-) tetraanions, the latter with twofold rotation symmetry, together with water of crystallization. Hydrogen-bond interactions, including N-H center dot center dot center dot O, N-H center dot center dot center dot Cl and O-H center dot center dot center dot Cl interactions, stabilize the crystal structure.
