Use of electromagnetic band-gap materials for RCS reduction

摘要
Most applications of electromagnetic band gap (EBG) concern antenna radiation or electromagnetic filters. In this paper, a metallic EBG structure is designed for stealth applications. We show how this structure allows its to reduce the radar cross section (RCS) of targets. An application of this kind of MEBG is the design of a radome allowing the reduction of antenna RCS.
