摘要
To satisfy the increasing capacity demand in today's networks, in particular exceeding 100 Tbit/s per fiber, pose a severe challenge. This paper gives an overview of the concepts currently investigated to meet this challenge, including modulation formats, digital signal processing, elastic optical networks and multi-mode / multi-core transmission.
