High temperature vis-NIR transmission spectroscopy of iron-doped glasses

摘要
Iron doped glasses with the base composition 16Na(2)O-10CaO-74 SiO(2) (in mol%) were melted under different redox conditions. From these glasses, visible to near infrared absorption spectra were recorded at temperatures up to 750 degrees C. The spectra were deconvoluted into four bands of Gaussian shape attributed to Fe or Fe. The intensities of the peaks decreased, with increasing temperature. All peaks are slightly shifted to smaller wavenumbers and get broader with increasing temperature.
