摘要
Encased plate construction utilises a concrete-steel composite beam section designed to resist high sheer loading. Thirty five simply supported plate reinforced concrete beams have been loaded to failure in a total of 49 tests. The developments in detailing to prevent premature failure, the design of a suitable plate anchorage system, in addition to the effects of the shear span and other parameters on the sheer capacity of the sections, an discussed in detail. Flexural shear, diagonal splitting and shear compression types of shear span failure are reported and the failure mechanism described. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
