Application-oriented higher education is the inevitable outcome in the stage of popularization higher education in China, and it is a significant part of the system of higher education. The paper starts with analyzing the background of higher education, mainly discusses the applicability of Application-oriented higher education from scientific research, curriculum and teaching, discipline and specialty. Pointing out applicability is the essential attributes of Application-oriented higher education, applicability is an important way to the development of high education.
