摘要
The paper presents an introduction on the technical issues regarding ground movements modelling and prediction of risk of building damage and outlines a methodology to assess the requirement of building protective measures. The methodology is being used in the design of underground railways of the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System and the Singapore Land Transport Authority and consists of a combination of non-linear numerical ground modelling and the state-of-art in the assessment of ground movements, building response and damage classification.
