摘要
The localities from their origin face a series of events that can condition them to their future configuration. San Jose del Cabo, in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, emerged in colonial times as the site of a mission founded by the religious order of the Society of Jesus. Since the eighties of the last century, it became a place where public policies were applied in the field of tourism, an aspect that gave rise to a great physical growth of the urban place due to the social growth of the population to become a focus of attraction for immigrants attracted by the jobs associated with leisure activity. The objective of this essay is to provide an explanation of the urban evolution of San Jose del Cabo through an analysis of different documentary sources, such as bibliography, reports and urban planning instruments prepared by government agencies.
