摘要
WS2 nanorods were synthesized at 180 degrees C with the help of the surfactant Cetyltrimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) by a hydrothermal method. The microstructure and morphology of WS2 nanorods were characterized by the means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). A possible formation mechanism was proposed. The tribological properties of WS2 nanorods were measured on CETR UMT-2 tribo-tester. The results show that WS2 nanorods exhibit excellent tribological performance as an additive of base oil.
