摘要
Field modelling that incorporates increasingly complex representations of the physical and chemical processes for compartment fires warrants a detailed evaluation. Detailed quantitative comparisons against established Lewis computed results and Steckler experimental data of a single compartment fire, demonstrate that our predicted velocity and temperature fields gave good agreement against the above data. The prospect on using a flamelet-based combustion model is encouraging model. Here, more detailed chemistry can be incorporated, especially that used to predict CO concentrations. This, together with the discrete ordinates radiation method offers potential in building fire prediction.
