摘要：
Wide spread drought occurrence has been a common feature in the recent past all over the globe. Mahbubnagar district of the State of Andhra Pradesh in India forms the most backward and drought prone district. The study presented in this paper envisages an integrated study of natural resources using Remote Sensing & GIS to arrive at site specific solutions at village level which are economically suitable, energy efficient and environmentally benign. The site specific recommendations include rainwater harvesting structures, insitu soil and moisture conservation measures, fodder, fuelwood and afforestation etc.
