摘要
The current study was conducted to assess job satisfaction of the pharmacy teachers serving in different universities of public as well as private sectors in Pakistan. This study also explains the correlation amongst job satisfaction and demographic characteristics, and different aspects of job. Data was collected from 105 teachers from 31 universities of various professional statuses belonging to the pharmacy department in Pakistan. Online questionnaire method was used in order to collect data. The e-mail IDs of 155 academicians were collected and online questionnaires were sent to them through e-mail. With a response rate of 67.74%, 105 usable questionnaires were obtained. Findings from this study indicates that certain facets of job i.e. pay, relationship with co-workers, chances for promotion, job security and work environment has a great effect on job satisfaction of the university academicians. The results from this study also indicate that some of the demography of the academicians is significantly correlated with satisfaction of the academic staff to their job in the universities.
