摘要
Paper presents results of laboratory experiments on the usability of selected phenolic compounds naturally existing in wood for artificial wood protection against wood decay caused by fungi Some of these substances are believed to work as inhibitors of mycelium's growths and prevent wood against biological destruction Six different phenolic compounds were tested individually or mixed together Lime wood samples were artificially saturated by their water solutions using vacuum methods 1 hen they were put on the mycelium of I aetiporus sulphureus and Irametes vesicolor The samples were taken out after 30 60 and 90 class 1 he loss of their weight was compared with control samples saturated only by ater I he differences between these results allowed to improve the potential ability of particular natural compounds for artificial wood protection against biological decay
