摘要
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to adopt cultural perspective while exploring the management practices of young employees in China IT industry. The paper aims to highlight the effective managing approaches that emerged from Confucianism shaped by an increasing Individualistic ideology in China. Design/methodology/approach - Multiple case studies followed by face-to-face interviews. Findings Results of this paper suggest that a distinctly Chinese management model combing foundational Confucianism principles and the Western scientific approach will be the most suitable for current China.. Research limitation/implication - The generalization of findings may be limited by the small size samples from one occupational sector and region. Practical implications - The paper fills up the gap of existing Chinese management theories. It also offers practice based guidance for managers facilitating their daily managing behavior. Originality/value - Manager's practical experience of responding the young employees' value change, and the purposed management style composed by management approaches.
