Emission and Absorption Spectroscopy of Carbon Arc Plasma during Formation of Carbon Magnetic Encapsulates

摘要
Plasma diagnostics of carbon arc discharge under conditions of carbon magnetic encapsulates formation was performed by emission and absorption spectroscopy. Content of C(2) and Fe species, rotational temperatures of excited (d (3)Pi(g)) and non-excited (a (3)Pi(u)) states, and excitation temperatures of a (5)F and a (3)F levels relatively to the a (5)D level of Fe atoms were determined. The results pointed to a non-equilibrium state of carbon arc plasma under prevailing discharge conditions.
