摘要
This work is motivated by the goal of improving integration of software components involved in a concurrent process engineering environment. We provide a description of ontologies that are based on a multi-dimensional formalism that represents in an explicit way physical, behavioral, and operational aspects of the plant. Ontologies are formal descriptions that define the vocabulary with which queries and assertions are exchanged among autonomous and collaborative software tools.
