摘要
This study sets to investigate the present situation of teacher's questioning in EFL classroom in China. The forms, types, orientation, wait time of teacher's questioning in EFL classroom is presented and analyzed. This study also investigated if teacher often elicit student's questioning in class. Naturalistic inquiry and descriptive analysis is adopted in this study. The researchers observe and study the natural EFL classrooms activities without interference so as to describe the authentic teaching process. Instruments also involve questionnaire, classroom recording and transcription. 8 EFL classrooms of a provincial university (Yangtze University in China) were observed and 240 students involved in questionnaire. This study concludes with teaching implications and future study areas.
