摘要
Perinatal stroke is associated with various problems in cognitive development. Age at time of stroke (perinatal vs. early childhood) and age at time of assessment are considered powerful predictors of outcome. In all developmental domains children with perinatal stroke performed poorer than peers with stroke in early childhood. However, mean standard scores in cognitive performance were lower than norm group average. Therefore, multi-faceted, comprehensive efforts in rehabilitation are required to facilitate a smooth transition to school.
